How to force a subreport not to break to the new page?

Hello,
I have a subreport embeded into the main report. When the subreport contains
more data than it can be displayed on the same page, it breaks to the next
page leaving the previous one almost empty.
Does anybody know a solution for keeping subreport data on the same page as
much as possible and breaking to the next page with the rest of data that
does not fit to the first page?
Thank you in advance.
EdmundasI've found out that if the size of the (body and report itself) of the
subreport is small enough, this occurs less, but this seems like a work
around...|||> When the subreport contains

I am having the same issue. The main report is very simple - a table with 2
detail lines - the second detail line has the subreport in it. The subreport
is a simple table with one header and one detail band.
Like StefanO-nl - I don't see this problem on other reports where the
subreport has a small number of rows.
Is there any kind of work-around for this? A sub-report is a highly useful
thing, so I'd hate to not be able to use it because of page-break weirdness
in PDFs.
I just installed RS SP2 (client only) for development, and it did not fix
the problem.

it seems that if the subreport has a height of .1 and a width equal to the
width of the widest report item, random pagination does not occur.

How to find Server Collation from SQL 2005 tables/views?

Does anyone know what table, view, etc., contains the SQL Server 2005 server
collation (not database collation) value? When I use SQLDMO it returns an
empty string, yet when I view the SQL Server 2005 instance properties in SQL
Server Management Studio, it correctly shows as SQL_Latin... etc.
I have tried querying the master.sys.sysservers view and msdb.sys.sysservers
view but they both report null as well.
Where can I find the Server Collation property programmatically in SQL 2005?
Thanks experts!Perhaps you are looking for
serverproperty('collation')

How To filter data set based on value from another

I have a data set that contains rows with a column for "User ID". I want to filter a second data set that contains one or more user "role names" by "User ID" . I want to do this dynamically without having to define a parameter. I then want to to take the filtered "Role Names" data set and display on a report. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Data Set #1
User ID First Last ........

Data Set #2
User ID Role

CharlesHi,
cycle through data set 1 with a for loop and save the id. then cylcle with a second loop through dataset 2 and look for the user ID. Then you have a variable which contains the row where this user is in the first dataset and a diferent one, which contains the rownumber in which the user is in dataset 2.|||Even though this would work it wouldn't be very efficient as there are over 20,000 rows to traverse through. Would there be a more efficient approach?

Thanks
Charles|||When importing the data into the new dataset, store the key in a array (or hashtable) and before inserting the next record - check the hashtable if it already contains the key, if so skip it.....|||Hi,

can you not use a sql statement with a where clause when retriving your data from the database?! so you would have one huge dataset containing the data in the way you want to have it.
